Gonçalo Falcão

Electric guitar

Former student of Vítor Rua, with whom he later collaborated in various contexts (for example in "Vítor Rua e os Ressoadores"), having also studied composition with Louis Andriessen and Salvatore Sciarrino, guitarist Gonçalo Falcão released two albums under his name, "Load" and "Volkswagner". As a musician he has played with Telectu, Evan Parker, Eddie Prévost, Rodrigo Amado, Miguel Mira, Hernâni Faustino, Gabriel Ferrandini and Miguel Carvalhais, among others, and as a critic he wrote for the publications Monitor and All Jazz until he settled on jazz.pt. He is also a designer, having been responsible for the graphics of several issues of this magazine when it was published on paper (photo by Xavier Falcão).
