BIOGRAPHY:

Roder studied music in Hanover. He began his career as a rock musician, and lived for some years in Brazil. In 1995 he came to Berlin, where he played tours and concerts with musicians like Ulrich Gumpert, Ernst-Ludwig Petrowsky, Manfred Schoof, Uschi Brüning, Joachim Kühn, Aki Takase, Gunter Hampel, Mircea Tiberian and Axel Doerner. With the band “Die Enttäuschung” (The disappointment) and Alexander von Schlippenbach, they put together the complete works of Thelonious Monk, which until today is regarded as the main recording about this artist..With Bjorn Lücker and and Henrik Walsdorff he forms the band The Most. He furthermore works in Caciula trio (with Maurice de Martin and Ben Abarbanel-Wolf), the JR 3, the Silke Eberhard Trio and Zoran Terzic Quartet and occurs as a duo partner of Maria Raducanu. With the star soprano singer Angela Denoke and Trio, he plays a program on famous opera stages like the Scala, Opera de Bastille etc.
