Piano

Born in Lisbon, Joao Farinha became interested in music and piano at age 11. His interest in jazz led him to school the Hot Clube de Portugal, where he headed the Netherlands, studied Prins Claus Conservatorium with musicians such as Lee Konitz and David Liebman, and participated in a workshop sponsored by the Manhattan School of Music and the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. The piano technique has been perfected at the Academy of Music Amateurs, the school invited him to accompany the piano lessons singing jazz Maria Joao's musical complicity developed between the pianist and singer has created a duo that has performed regularly in Portugal.
